So I went to Barnes & Noble the other day, I know they’re expensive af. 😂 But I like to browse and get that instant gratification from a bookstore sometimes lol. So anyway, here are the books I picked up!

So basically I’m going off the cover when I’m buying books. AT MOST I go on Amazon and look at that lil 2 sentence summary. But mostly, I wanna know nothing when I’m going into a book. I always felt like the back synopsis gave away too much lol. Because why the whole plot on the back?! lmao well minus the details of course but don’t even give me the gist. A couple tropes is okay but that’s all I really need.

Talia always writes cute books and the cover was literally just cute and caught my eye. Literally that’s all. I didn’t look this one up for a hint so this is strictly cover!
Intermission by Phyllis R. Dixon 🎤✨
I saw this rec on Threads from @kurvykatie! She commented on a post that was asking for recommendations for a book including R&B groups! And that was new to me so I definitely had to pick it up. Plus I haven’t read anything by Phyllis Dixon, and I love finding new authors. I did read the prologue of this and there was an argument that led to the group breaking up. Chapter 1 picks up 20 years later 👀 I gotta find out what happened lol. So it seems cute so far!
The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix 💀✨
I needed a Halloween book lol. Last year for Halloween, I read IT by Stephen King (great btw) and I just wanted to add to my spooky collection. I do have Blood Rising by Markus Redmond (this is part 2 to Blood Slaves, great also go read it) but that’s all I have as far as “spooky” vampire, slashers and killer type vibes are. I read the first couple of pages of this in the store and it’s not even scary fr. It’s like sarcastic humor type of situation. It’s about what happens to the last surviving girl from these scary movies lol. Hopefully I laugh and it’s worth my money. I’ll let you know.
